Antique Rare Winchester 1898 salute Signal cannon First Edition. This is a unrestored quality Winchester blank firing black powder cannon from the 1903- 1908 period. Shows some blueing on the underside of the barrel and the carriage and wheels retain their original Black japanned finish. All Winchester address markings are clear and easy to read. There are so few of these First Edition Winchester cannons in this condition. (See the pictures) only about 1000 of these cannons were made with a one inch muzzle. After 1908 all future cannons had a one and a quarter inch muzzle. The cannon comes with a genuine newer Winchester wooden crate and a bag of 10 gauge blanks. This is the best original First Edition Winchester cannon I have seen.
